On October 10~13 of 2017, National Technical Committee 200 on Sterilization Techniques and Equipments of Standardization Administration of China (hereinafter referred to as SAC/TC 200) held the 2017 annual meeting and examination meeting of three trade standards in Yinchuan. Zhang Zhijun and Yu Xinhua, the deputy directors of Medical Device Standard Management Center of China Food and Drug Administration, attended the meeting. A total of 72 delegates, including experts, members, members' representatives of SAC/TC 200, and enterprise representatives, attended the meeting.

    Huang hongxin, vice chairman, began with a speech to welcome warmly all the delegates to attend the meeting, introduced the assessment of SAC/TC 200 from Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as SAC), and then praised the members who performed their duties well.

    Zhang zhijun made an important speech. Director Zhang shared the latest progress and relevant information in standardization work from the prospective of gradual improvement of standardization laws and regulations, precise management of standard work, research of key technology standard. Then he made requests to SAC/TC 200 from three aspects of defining missions and fulfilling duties, being fair and consistent, cooperating actively and seeking development.

    On behalf of SAC/TC 200, Hu Changming, secretary general, made a summary in five aspects: institution and revision of trade standards in 2017 and standard pre-approval in 2018; international voting; standard publicity and implementation; completion progress of publicity and implementation materials of disinfection classification subdirectory, assessment of SAC, monograph compilation; current problems. And he put forward four work programs in 2018: high-quality completion of institution and revision task for standards; active participation in international voting and international standard meetings; promotion of publicity and implementation of standards; completion of work assigned by the superior.

    A standardized technology forum was held with some theme reports in the annual meeting. Secretary General Hu lectured about medical device regulations and disinfection standard system. An expert, Zhou Zhilong, lectured about technical differences between ISO 11135-2014 and GB 18279-2015. An expert, Zhou Guangyu, lectured about Annual Meeting overview of ISO/TC198 2017.

    At the examination meeting of trade standards, all the experts, committee members and other enterprise representatives seriously discussed drafts of three trade standards, including Flushing sterilizers-part 5: requirements and tests of chemical disinfection of non-intrusive medical devices that are not resistant to high temperatures, and finally approved the three trade standards.
